Flying a little late
So instead of a two-hour layover in Atlanta, we had more like a 5 1/2 hour layover. The plane that we were originally scheduled for had mechanical problems, so they put us on a plane that came from Tokyo. We had a couple of scares, including this text and email:
“We apologize for the delay to your plans. Please visit delta.com/rebookme or download the Fly Delta app to rebook a new flight.”
Oh hell no.
Luckily, after about 15 minutes, they called for boarding to begin. Better to get to Paris a few hours late instead of a few days late.
We are on board, champagne in hand, and ready to go.
