Why yes, we are traveling again...
I think that our friends and family think that we can't sit still (and that is literally true for Dan), but the fact is that we L-O-V-E to travel. It's one of the things that we do well together, and we enjoy each other's company, which I think is a nice thing after knowing each other for almost 40 years.
God, when did Dan get that old?
So. We are heading back across the pond, this time to France: Paris, Reims (champagne country), Strasbourg (never been to Alsace-Lorraine), and Dijon (where I hope NO ONE says "pass the Grey Poupon). Here's the story: We were on St. George Island during the week after Christmas with our friends, Doug and Pam. Pam has a significant birthday (one that ends in a zero) next month, and Dan has one in November. (Doug and I are the babies of the group, but we are all spinning that bitch like the Wheel of Fortune when we have to enter the year of birth on our smartphones.) Doug, a French major (along with Dan), and Pam were talking about a possible trip to France to celebrate Pam's new number, and by the end of the conversation, Dan and I had been invited (or did we invite ourselves?) to go along.
It's only money, right? And you can't take it with you. And who needs to be that responsible?
And so again, Dear Readers, we will be blogging and posting photos and having a grand ole time. Hope that you will ride along.
